Terms and Conditions 

Contrast Therapy Waiver & Terms of Use of The Recovery Room – IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING DOCUMENT. By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Waiver & Terms of Use.

1. Facility Overview The Recovery Room provides access to infrared sauna and cold plunge pool facilities for contrast therapy. The facility is primarily unstaffed, and you are responsible for your own safety and conduct during use.

 

2. Eligibility - You must be at least 18 years old to use our facilities. - By signing this waiver, you confirm you meet this requirement.

 

3. Health & Safety - You must consult with a qualified healthcare professional before using infrared sauna or cold plunge therapy. - Do not use our facilities if you are: - Under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing medication. - Experiencing illness, fever, dizziness, or other health symptoms. - Pregnant or may be pregnant (see Pregnancy Warning below). - You are responsible for knowing your own physical limits. - Hydrate adequately before, during, and after your session.

 

4. Pregnancy Warning Use of the infrared sauna and cold plunge pool is NOT recommended for individuals who are pregnant or may be pregnant. - Heat exposure can increase core body temperature, which may pose risks to fetal development. - Cold immersion can cause rapid blood pressure changes and other physiological effects that may be unsafe during pregnancy. - If you are pregnant, you must not use the sauna or plunge pool unless you have written medical clearance from a qualified healthcare professional. The Recovery Room accepts no liability for any adverse effects experienced during pregnancy.

 

5. Terms of Use - Limit sauna sessions to 30–45 minutes. - Limit cold plunge use to 1–3 minutes for beginners. Exit immediately if you feel faint, dizzy, or unwell. - No food, alcohol, glass containers, or disruptive behaviour. Towels must be used when sitting in the sauna. - Access is for registered members or booked guests only. Do not share entry codes/cards.

 

6. Emergency Procedures - Fire Alarm: Leave the building immediately via the nearest exit. Do not re-enter until cleared by emergency services. - Power Outage: Exit equipment immediately, move to a safe lit area, and await instructions. - Medical Emergency: Call 999. Provide the posted facility address. Alert any staff within the building.

 

7. Acknowledgement of Risks I understand that contrast therapy can cause physical reactions including but not limited to: - Fainting or dizziness - Burns or heat stress - Cold shock response or hypothermia - Slips, trips, or falls- Cardiac events I voluntarily assume all such risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen.

 

8. Release of Liability I hereby release and discharge The Recovery Room, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from all liability, claims, or demands for injuries, damages, or losses I may suffer, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, arising from my use of the facilities.

 

9. Indemnity I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Recovery Room from any claims, costs, or damages arising from my actions, conduct, or use of the facility.

 

10. I understand that there may be times using the facility when I may be the only individual present within the premises and take full responsibility for my own safety.

11. Surveillance Notice I understand the facility is under video surveillance for security and safety purposes.
